The knobbed whelkBusycon carica, is a species of very large predatory sea snail. They are marine gastropod mollusks in the family Buccinidae. The knobbed whelks are the second largest species of busycon whelks, ranging in size up to 12 in (305 mm). [Wikipedia]
The egg capsules  seen in the bottom image are 600 mm long. They were collected on the Florida coast of North America.
