Atlantic Bay Scallop

Argopecten irradians is a species of saltwater clam native to the East coast of North America. Yes those little blue dots are eyes, scallops actually have around 100 simple eyes around their mantle. Although it looks like the scallop has teeth  they are simple filter feeders and don’t eat anything of substance these teeth are tentacles that simply help the animal move food into its mouth.
