why palin quit

A friendly source, the Daily Caller, has the admission:

She said the media became a key reason she decided not to finish out her term as governor and faults, in part, the McCain campaign for failing to vigorously defend her.

If she can't handle the media as governor of Alaska, for crying out loud, how does she think she could handle it as president? And she seems to have a problem with reporters doing their jobs:

In exclusive remarks to The Daily Caller, Palin described "hordes of Obama's opposition researchers-slash 'reporters'" descending upon Alaska in the days after she was picked by McCain.

Imagine that. A virtual unknown suddenly is nominated to a position within a hair's breadth of the oval office and the media goes to where she's from to find out what she's about. How shocking! And by the way, we reporters found a lot by doing so. My organization sent Laura McCann up there and she quickly found out that Palin was lying about her alleged anti-earmark fervor.

Laura found documents with Palin's handwritten notes on them cheering on -- quite literally -- the fact that Wasila had gotten so much federal money. But that looks bad for Palin and it punctures her lies, so it was obviously yellow journalism.
